Solar Cooking for the world's poor
Using solar box cookers could save up to
350 million tons of wood per year saving millions of trees
according to a report by UNICEF. That's 36% of the
world's fuel wood needs. There are an estimated half a
million solar box cookers used today in China and India and
there are solar box cooker projects in many other countries.
Potential usage of solar box cookers is 200 million
according to UNICEF.
